Manufacturing Engineer
Your responsibilities
- Proactively Identify Obsolescence Risks: Conduct reviews of e-ELR and i-ELR submissions in collaboration with the BGS Procurement Agent (PA) team and suppliers, gathering sufficient information for Engineering Lifecycle Review (ELR) submissions to support Design Engineering (DE) review and disposition.
- Assess and Forecast Obsolete Parts Demand: Evaluate and identify demands for obsolete parts, forecasting future needs to prioritize and coordinate urgency with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) and DE.
- Analyze Engineering Drawings and Impact: Review and analyze engineering drawings to identify potential impacts on next-higher assembly part numbers (P/Ns) and assess the implications for impacted P/Ns on BGS-C, BDI, BDSI, BGS Mods/BCF, and subsidiaries (e.g., Encore Interiors), if applicable.
- Identify and Validate Alternatives: Identify approved alternative parts or suppliers, validating their compatibility and performance to ensure continuity in production.
- Evaluate Chemicals and Materials: Assess chemicals and materials (e.g., BMS) used in Boeing product design through drawing databases (e.g., PSDS) and applicable Boeing Aircraft Company (BAC) standards.
- Collaborate on Obsolescence Risk Review: Work with Supplier Management Risk Management & Internal Governance and BGS Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) on Obsolescence Risk Review to mitigate potential impacts.
- Analyze Demand Impact Trends: Review impact trends based on the obsolescence timeline and work with the Demand/Planning Team to analyze demand and understand how obsolescence would impact BGS. If identified as likely and high demand impact, work with the BGS PA to request i-ELR or e-ELR submissions and coordinate with BGS DE on obsolescence items.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics.
- Ability to collaborate with suppliers, all Boeing Programs, manufacturing teams and other supporting stakeholders.
- Ability to present to senior and executive leadership.
- 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Optional
- 4 + years’ experience in Production Configuration Management.
- 4 + years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- 4 + years’ experience working with multi-functional teams/organizations.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes: SCN, NOC, CSDT, ELR, PRA/RCR.
- Familiarity with chemical/material regulatory impacts (CMRM), material specifications, and compliance.

Experienced Manufacturing Planner
Your responsibilities
- Planning and overseeing the production process based on technical requirements and available materials, considering schedules
- Selecting materials and production technologies that meet technical requirements
- Maintaining technical documentation for assigned projects
- Identifying requirements for tooling and processing orders based on production and design specifications
- Collecting and analyzing data to assess the quality of the production process for individual parts or products

Electrical System Service Engineer
Your responsibilities
- Assessing and resolving product/process issues through the product life cycle.
- Research on technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
- Providing interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
- Working with cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for complex design non-conformances.
- Assesses system events reports to determine potential safety issues.
- Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience with aircraft Electrical systems. Experience in Electrical wiring, Electrical Power, Electrical Equipment subcomponents around wiring.

Landing Gear Service Engineer – Structural Repair
Your responsibilities
- Develops creative and innovative structural repair methods.
- Works closely with Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair suppliers to provide high quality and timely repair dispositions to landing gear structures to include detailed instructions for addressing damage allowance/treatment and deviations to landing gear structures design and repairs.
- Drives improvements to existing Component Maintenance Manuals and other maintenance documentation in support of our customers and development of Boeing Landing Gear repair methodologies.
- Participates in current and future design/development initiatives to advocate for customer concerns/needs and improved supportability, maintainability, and reparability of landing gear structures.
- Collaborates closely with landing gear structural design and stress analyst engineering to develop landing gear structural repairs.
- Assists with the development and documentation of basic requirements via drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data. Develops or modifies basic designs based on defined requirements.
- Assists monitoring suppliers’ performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
- Responds to incoming customer service requests with development of robust and timely technical dispositions.
- Supports the research into technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
- Supports review and development of technical documentation (e.g. Fleet Team Digest articles, service letters, drawings, specifications, documents, data sets, manuals) in accordance with engineering processes and procedures for internal reference or external delivery.
- Assists in developing troubleshooting and/or repair procedures, as well as providing analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
- Participates in Customer on-site Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) activities to restore aircraft to serviceable conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 2+ years of experience with Structural Repair, Structural Liaison, Structural Design or Structural Analysis.
- Experience with Landing Gear.
