Last week, the children of Tongi Children Education Program (TCEP) received their books and notebooks.
For many of these slum children, a simple notebook is not “just” a notebook. It’s something their parents often struggle to afford. Between daily wages and daily survival, school supplies can feel out of reach.
But when they held these books in their hands, their smiles said everything.
Each page now carries their handwriting, their effort, their dreams.
Each notebook is a small step away from the cycle of poverty and a step toward a brighter future.
Education may start with paper and ink but it grows into confidence, dignity, and hope.
